C.C.S. - Creative Color Stories! "Doing something else."
Red is not just for the holiday season! The something else...is that it can be worn in different shades, textures, & overlays, throughout the year. This go round, we are suggesting dressing red up with and overlay of matte lipstick, a print shoe, and a solid bag. Also we are recommending mixing prints. Here's how...
PRINT: GO Animal!
There is no print like animal print with red. As you can see on the shoe, there are varying shades of black, gray, and a golden brown. YES YOU CAN CLEVERLY conquer the Black and Brown dilemma, and put them together with a tiger print. Then put it all up against a red "background." The background here is that that dress. It is just the right shade of red; a BOLD CRIMSON!
PRINT MIX: Go animal with PLAID!
Here you also see brown and black shoes, a brown bag, a black necklace, and then both colors on the plaid jacket shown. Since the color mix engages small lines of color in the plaid, and then brown in the fur collar, it works just as it needs to for the entire ensemble. I promise, the shoes won't seem too busy as the eye travels to your feet. In this layout, the idea here is to have just enough of each color and print on each part of the figure.
For the lips, matte is best! Save shiny lips for the spring or summer time!
